Walter Elias Disney (Chicago, December 5, 1901 - Los Angeles, December 15, 1966) was a film producer, filmmaker, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, enterprising, philanthropist and co-founder of The Walt Disney Company. He became known in the 1920s and 1930s, for his cartoon characters like Mickey and Donald Duck. He was also the creator of the theme park based in the United States called Disneyland, in addition to being the founder of the corporation of entertainment known as the Walt Disney Company.
