BORN AS THE MICKEY MOUSE ?
The charming mouse was not the first creation of Walt Disney. Before him came the rabbit Oswald character greater popular acceptance at that time. In 1928, however, Disney has lost the copyright to his character and he was forced to think of another public figure to win. That was when Mickey was born, a partnership with Ub Iwerks. The first sketches of mice were made during a train journey, when he also was named Mortimer. Lilian, wife of Walt Disney, did not like the idea and baptized with the current nomenclature.
